Terms of Service

dotted is a hyperlocal community-driven marketplace where neighbors vote on a daily Dish of the Day, local restaurants prepare it, and local couriers deliver it. These Terms govern your use of the dotted mobile application and website.

You must be 18 or older (or a minor with verified guardian consent) to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Each day dotted runs a 7-phase cycle (Harvest → Shadow Bid → Voting → Auction → Sourcing → Ordering → Completed). Voting outcomes determine which dishes restaurants in your zone prepare. Voting is non-binding; dotted does not guarantee any specific dish will be available.

Payments are processed by Stripe. dotted does not store your card details. Refunds for cancelled or failed orders are issued automatically to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Restaurants and ingredient suppliers operating on dotted are independent businesses. dotted facilitates the connection but is not a party to the food preparation or delivery transaction itself.

Allergens listed for each dish are sourced from the preparing restaurant. Cross-contamination is possible. If you have a severe allergy, contact the restaurant directly before ordering.

Don't use dotted to harass other users, manipulate voting, list restaurants you don't own, or scrape data programmatically. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. dotted may terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law. On deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days; aggregated and anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely.

dotted is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, dotted is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be notified in-app or via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
